PROCESS ENGINEERING MANAGER (CS PKG, PCB MANUFACTURING)

1. Job Summary

The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all CS PKG, PCB manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role leads the Process Engineering team in process improvement, troubleshooting, and new product introduction (NPI).

2. Key Responsibilities

Process Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage and optimize CS PKG, PCB manufacturing processes such as drilling, plating, etching, imaging, lamination, and surface finishing
• Analyze production data to improve yield, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle time
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)

New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Lead NPI activities from development to mass production
• Evaluate DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and process feasibility
• Develop process flow, SOPs, and technical parameters

Troubleshooting & Yield Improvement

• Identify and resolve technical issues in production (defects, yield loss)
• Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop the Process Engineering team
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and build team capabilities
• Provide technical training and guidance

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and Maintenance teams
• Support internal and external audits
• Participate in quality system and process improvement initiatives

3. Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in CS PKG, PCB manufacturing
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial role

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of CS PKG, PCB processes (multilayer boards, HDI is a plus)
• Familiar with process control tools: SPC, FMEA, Control Plan
• Experience with yield improvement and cost reduction
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is a plus)

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Language

• Good command of English (mandatory)
• Korean is a plus

4. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in multinational manufacturing companies
• Familiar with ERP/MES systems
• Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is an advantage
